My teaching philosophy is centered around teaching discipline while opening doors for musical expression and creativity in each and every student- no matter how young.

As each and every lesson poses questions about technique and artistry, I strive to teach my students to not only improve but to tap into their creativity to find the answers themselves. I aim to create self-sufficient musicians who, whether they continue music or not, have the skills to come up with creative solutions to any problems they may face.

Lessons can be anything you want them to be ~ preparing for school band or orchestra concerts and auditions, learning from scratch, preparing for competitions, auditions for region and all state bands and even college! With a background in teaching a variety of students, and even Suzuki flute certification, I’m here to meet your needs.
